abcoderz (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built the Rupee Control app as an Ad-supported / Freemium application. This SERVICE is provided by abcoderz at no cost (with an optional one-time Pro upgrade) and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone who decides to use Rupee Control.
1. 100% On-Device Financial Data Storage (No Tracking)
Rupee Control is designed with privacy as a core principle:
- Local Storage Only: All your financial transactions, income, expenses, category budgets, debt & loan ledgers (Khata), notes, and accounts are stored strictly on your local device using encrypted local database storage.
- No Server Uploads: We do not transmit, sync, track, sell, or store your financial data or transaction history on any external servers or cloud databases.
- Offline First: Rupee Control works completely offline. Your financial information never leaves your phone.
- SMS & Notifications: If you enable the optional Smart Notification Auto-Tracker, notifications are parsed locally in real-time on your device to create expense entries. No SMS or notification text is ever uploaded or shared.
Rupee Control does not collect personally identifiable information directly. However,
Khata / Ledger Feature (Personal Information):
- Phone Number (Optional): When using the Khata / Ledger feature, users have the option to enter a contact name and phone number solely for record-keeping and tracking personal transactions.
- Data Storage & Usage: All Khata information, including entered phone numbers, is stored locally on your device (offline storage) and is used exclusively for app functionality. We do not transmit, sell, or share this data with external servers or third parties.
the app uses verified third-party SDKs provided by Google that may collect standard device identifiers for ad delivery, crash analytics, and in-app purchases:
- Google Play Services / Google Play Billing: Used for secure processing of in-app purchases (Rupee Control Pro).
- Google AdMob: Used to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads to free-tier users.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect anonymous crash diagnostic logs to maintain app stability.
3. Log Data and Diagnostics
Whenever you use our Service, in the event of an unexpected crash or error, anonymous diagnostic data (such as device model, OS version, app version, and stack traces) may be collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix the issue. This data contains zero personal financial details.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
5. Data Deletion
Since all your transaction data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data:
- You can clear all data instantly at any time from within the app settings or by clearing the app data in Android Settings.
- Uninstalling the app permanently removes all local data from your device.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
